Acceptance & Happiness

Assalamualaikum to everyone! Today, let’s talk about
acceptance and happiness.
This is basically a continuation for this post because today’s
post is going to be related to that post, but with deeper details.
So, how do you define happiness? How do you know when you’re
happy or not?
How often have you said “I just want to be happy,” or “I
want him/her/ to be happy,” but do you understand the meaning behind happiness?
Alright, so Merriam-Webster (n.d) implies that happiness is
a state of well-being and contentment.
I believe we’ve experienced happiness a lot of times. There
are times when you meet your crush after a long tiring day and you just feel
content after seeing him or her. There are many things you can do to make you
happy. Being happy isn’t about getting out of stress, but it is okay to be happy
for yourself.
According to Happiness International (n.d.), happiness is
based on our individual needs and they vary based on our genetics, how we were
raised, and our life experiences. That complex combination is what makes each
of us unique, both in our exact needs, and in every other aspect of what makes
us the person we are.
Now, do you get clearer picture about happiness? I hope you
do now.
I will end today’s post here. See you later!
Much love,
Farzana
